LDI Launch & Communications Infrastructure

Overview

When the Leadership Development Institute (LDI) was established, it brought together multiple long‑standing APA programs under one umbrella — but without a unified communications structure, shared workflows, or a cohesive brand identity. I led the development of LDI’s first communications infrastructure, creating the systems, processes, and messaging that now support visibility, alignment, and engagement across the entire institute.

My Role

  • Strategic architect for LDI’s communications ecosystem

  • Liaison between LDI, APA Communications, IT, Advocacy, and program leads

  • Project manager for cross‑program alignment and digital presence

  • Builder of templates, systems, and processes that scale

What I Delivered:

Communications Framework for LDI

I created the first unified institute‑wide structure for:

  • Messaging and brand alignment

  • Content planning and editorial workflows

  • Cross‑program coordination

  • Digital visibility across APA platforms

  • Standardized templates for newsletters, announcements, and outreach

This transformed LDI from a collection of programs into a cohesive, recognizable institute.

Multi‑Program Content Systems

I built the systems that now support:

• Variability, MFP's annual flagship newsletter

• Quarterly undergraduate outreach e‑newsletters

• Program announcements and recruitment campaigns

• Cross‑LDI social media strategy

• Shared calendars and content pipelines

These systems increased consistency, reduced duplication, and strengthened LDI’s voice.

Web & Digital Infrastructure

I collaborated with APA Communications and IT to:

  • Update and maintain LDI microsites

  • Refresh program pages for clarity and accessibility

  • Ensure accurate, timely content across all digital touchpoints

  • Create a unified structure for program visibility

This work established LDI’s digital presence as a reliable, up‑to‑date resource for the public.

Cross‑Department Collaboration

I served as the connective tissue between:

  • APA Communications

  • IT & Web

  • Advocacy

  • Program directors

  • LDI leadership

  • External partners

My role ensured that messaging, branding, and timelines were aligned across all teams — something LDI had never had before.
